Amptelike Eksamenbeleid | Official Examination Policy

VERPLIGTINGE VAN LEERLINGE

  • Geen tasse / leermateriaal word in die klaskamer / eksamenlokaal toegelaat nie.
  • Selfone – ons volg ‘n GEEN-selfoonbeleid tydens die eksamen.
  • Sakrekenaars kan vir Wiskunde, – Geletterdheid, Rekeningkunde, Fisiese Wetenskappe en Lewenswetenskappe toegelaat word.
  • Leerlinge mag nie tydens die eksamen iets by iemand anders leen nie.
  • Die leerlinge meld om 08:15 aan sodat hulle om 08:30 kan begin skryf. [‘n reëling van ongeveer 15 minute voor die aanvangstyd geld om te open, afwesighede te kontroleer, die nodige aankondigings te maak en vraestelle uit te deel.]
  • Leerlinge wat laat aanmeld vir eksamen kry geen ekstra tyd nie.
  • Leerlinge verdaag na die eksamen.
  • Indien die lengte van ‘n vraestel 1 uur is, kan hulle slegs na die uur verstreke is, inhandig en huis toe gaan.
  • Indien die lengte van ‘n vraestel langer as ‘n uur is, kan die leerlinge na 2/3 van die tyd inhandig en huis toe gaan.
  • Tydens die duur van die eksamen mag leerlinge hulself nie met iets anders besig hou nie.
  • Indien leerlinge ‘n betrokke dag nie skryf nie [blok] bly hulle by die huis / koshuis.
AFWESIGHEDE
Kontrole
  • Departementshoofde voorsien klaslyste aan toesighoudende personeel.
  • Toesighoudende personeel gebruik die klaslys om afwesighede tydens die dag van die eksamen aan te teken.
  • Finale toesighouers moet seker maak dat leerlinge op die klaslys, langs hul naam, teken wanneer die antwoordstelle en vraestelle ingehandig word.
  • Die leerlinge moet hul antwoordstelle tesame met hul vraestelle inhandig.
  • Die lys van afwesighede moet voor 12:00 op die dag van die eksamen aan die betrokke departementshoof oorhandig word.
  • Die departementshoof in samewerking met lede van sy departement kontroleer alle afwesighede.
  • Afwesighede word voor 13:00 op die dag van die eksamen met Juanita bevestig en uitgeklaar.
  • Juanita Nel sal die leerlinge wat afwesig is, se ouers kontak.
 
IMPLIKASIES
  • ‘n Leerling wat vir ‘n vak (-ke) afwesig is sonder die goedkeuring van die skool, kry NUL.
  • ‘n Leerling wat vir ‘n vak (-ke) afwesig is en nie ‘n mediese sertifikaat kan voorlê nie, kry NUL.
  • Waar aanvaarbare redes aangevoer word of bewys van afwesigheid kan gestaaf word, word die kwartaalpunt verwerk na ‘n punt wat op SAMS ingelees kan word.
  • Sou ‘n leerling afwesig wees vir ‘n vak (-ke) se TWEEDE / DERDE vraestel, word die vraestel wat reeds geskryf is se punte verwerk.
 
 ALGEMEEN
  • Geen vraestel sal voor die amptelike datum van die betrokke vak, soos per eksamenrooster, geskryf word nie.
  • Sou toestemming om ‘n vraestel vroeër te skryf verleen word,
  • sal dit op dieselfde dag soos per eksamenrooster geskryf word
  • die inhandiging geskied nadat die massa leerlinge die betrokke vak begin skryf het.

DUTIES OF LEARNERS

  •  No school bags/study materials are allowed in the examination venue.
  • Please note that a NO cell phone policy is implemented during the examination.
  •  Calculators are permitted for Mathematics, Maths Literacy, Accounting, Physical Science and Life Sciences.
  • Learners must be at the venue by 08:15 in order that the examination may commence at 8:30. [Approximately 15 minutes prior to commencement to open with scripture reading/prayer, verify absences, make necessary announcements and hand out question papers].
  • Learners who report late for the examination will not receive any extra time.
  •  Learners may leave after the examination has been written.
  • Should the length of a question paper be 1 hour, learners must stay for the full hour before they may hand in and leave.
  • This arrangement applies to all grades.
  • Learners may not occupy themselves with any other activities while they are in the examination venue.
  • Should learners not write an examination on any one specific day, they may remain at home/ the hostel to study (applicable only during formal examinations/ not during mini-examinations).
ABSENCES
Control measures
  • Head of department provides class lists to invigilators.
  • Invigilators use class lists to indicate absences on the day of the examination.
  • Final session invigilators must ensure that learners sign next to their name on the class list when the question papers and answer sheets are handed in.
  • Learners must hand in question papers together with their answer sheets.
  • The list of absentees must be handed to the head of department before 12:00 on the day of the examination.
  • The head of department must verify these absences with the members of his department.
  • Absences must be verified with Ms Juanita Nel before 13:00 on the day of the examination. must be verified with Ms Juanita Nel before 13:00 on the day of the examination.
  • Ms Nel will contact the parents of the learners who are absent.
 
IMPLICATIONS
  • Any learner who is absent for a subject(s) without approval of the school, will receive NIL.
  • Any learner who is absent for a subject(s) and cannot present a medical certificate, will receive NIL.
  • Should acceptable reasons be given or proof of absence can be provided, the term mark (SBA) will be converted to a mark that can be entered on the SAMS system.
  • Should a learner be absent for a subject’s second or third question paper, the marks for the paper(s) already written will be converted and entered.
 
GENERAL
  • No question paper may be written at any time prior to the official examination date of the subject as stipulated on the timetable.
  • Should permission to write earlier be given:
  • The paper will be written on the same day as it scheduled on the timetable
  • The paper will be handed in after the learner majority has started writing the subject.
