Sport is sinoniem met die naam Grey Kollege. Ons kan met trots sê dat ons ‘n verskeidenheid van sportsoorte aanbied met wêreldklas-fasiliteite vir die ontwikkeling van sport en ons leerders.
Sport is synonym with the name Grey College. We are proud to offer a wide variety of sports with world class facilities for the successful development of sport and our learners.
Participation is key to the success of Grey College.
Die mens se behoefte om te kompeteer en te presteer word duidelik wêrelwyd in sport weerspieël. Die kameraderie en plesier wat uit deelname aan sport voortspruit, is voor die hand liggend. Neem deel en word deel van die groter Grey-gemeenskap.
Highlights of 2019
- RUGBY: According to the saschoolsports website and rankings, and based on the combined results of the 1st XV; U/16; U/15 and U/14 rugby teams, Grey College was ranked number 1 in South Africa in 2019 for a fourth successive year.
- RUGBY: According to the saschoolsports website and rankings the U/14, U/15, U/16 and 1st XV rugby teams were all ranked number one in their respective age groups in 2019.
- HOCKEY: Our first hockey team also enjoyed a very successful season and according to the saschoolsports website and rankings was ranked sixth in the country.
- TENNIS: The school’s first tennis team had dominated South African Schools’ tennis during the past three years and did not only win all their inter school derbies this year, but was also unofficially ranked the top tennis team in the country.
- SOCCER: Our u/18 soccer team performed extremely well this season. They were, for the first time since the tournament’s inception, crowned the winners of the u/18 Nedbank Cup, won the u/19 Wynberg Soccer Festival and did the school proud by ending second in the u/18 Engen Knockout Challenge narrowly losing in the final of the competition.
