Our vision and mission at hockey is to establish Grey as an elite hockey culture in South African schools, while continuously striving to do our best and looking at breaking new boundaries.

Our goal is to fight for the right and honour to hold the title of ‘best hockey school’ in South Africa. In doing so, we strive to care for one another and to develop a healthy hockey culture.

Hockey is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, thus we endeavour to field more teams every year. Grey College currently fields the most provincial hockey players in the province, giving all hockey players at the school the best possible exposure at the highest possible level.

Our hockey facilities are currently undergoing an upgrade which entails relaying the main Astro and building a new ‘Fast Fives’ Astro turf. The first team and u16 A hockey coaches both have level 3 SAHA accreditation – the highest accreditation one can achieve in South Africa.
